a little bit

about us

We think we have been kissed on the bum by a rainbow living and working in Barossa. No doubt it’s famed for wine but when you live and work here you quickly learn there’s so much more to be grateful for.

Obviously, the exalted position of this place in Australia’s wine history can never be underrated.  Tin Shed Wines is and always intends to be - a small player in Barossa, but we’re determined to celebrate our style!

To us, how you choose to enjoy your wine is just as important

as the wine itself.

"You could pay twice as much for Barossa shirazes that are not half as good as this little gem; a wine that is bursting with flavour but finishes with restraint. Tin Shed was founded by chef Peter Clarke in 1997 and is now owned by local couple Claire Doughty and Daniel Killey, although Clarke still lends a deft hand in winemaking. From a single vineyard in Gomersal, this delivers generous, dark fruit flavours without being heavy on the palate. There are hints of Asian spices and dark pepper with oak in the background of a wine that is beautifully balanced despite its 15% alcohol. It went a treat with an old-fashioned steak and kidney pie. It's also promoted as Vegan friendly, should that be of concern."
